Members

Andrew

Andrew likes the "laid back feel" of SHINE. He is our resident computer guru, running the computer for all of our worship times and helping produce slides when needed. He says that he likes "the majority of the things we do," but he particularly likes our exercise time.

Ashton

Ashton is a talented and hard worker. She catches on to new tasks quickly and always does her best work. She is a great and thoughtful friend who loves to stay connected.

Bliss

Bliss has a great sense of humor and loves a good joke. She tends to be a bit of a homebody but likes coming to SHINE. We all love watching as she tries new things, meets new people, and serves others well. She is one of the bravest people in our program, and we are blessed by her daily.

Brittany

Brittany can be silly, but she can also work hard. She says that she likes "glueing the best I guess," but she is always willing to try new jobs. She likes when the work is over and she can see that the item she helped produce looks nice.

Caleb

Caleb is our world traveler. Growing up on the mission field in Asia has given Caleb a unique perspective. At SHINE we love learning more about his adventurous life. He is a man of few words, but he seems to always use those words to share happiness. His smile is contagious and his joy is authentic.

Canon

Canon came to work his first day at SHINE wearing a polo shirt, because he wanted to look nice for his new job. He continues to set the standard of professionalism in both his attire and his work ethic. He gets his work done with high quality and always looks good doing it.

Chance

Chance is a great listener and encourager. He is also a talented and meticulous artist who catches on to new projects quickly.

Emilee

At Shine she "can do hard things." She works diligently to learn new skills. Emilee says that at first making cards was hard, but she likes that when she works hard to learn something new, the new thing will become easy. She also loves to SHINE for Jesus.

Jennifer

Jennifer’s soft Alabama accent, gentle manner, and great listening skills invite people to spend time with her. She is a skilled artist who loves picking up a paint brush or rolling the perfect bead at SHINE. Don't let her mild manner fool you, her favorite activity is cheering for her beloved Auburn Tigers.

Kahee

Kahee teaches us daily about trust as she allows us to lead her through all of our fun activities. She has a great memory, she loves to sing, and she is the first to share about the exciting things happening in her life. Most importantly Kahee loves Jesus and attends multiple Bible studies where she is always learning more about Him.

Kaylyn

Kaylyn loves music, going on walks, and watching Rachel Ray. While all of those things are great, we are especially proud of Kaylyn’s jewelry-making skills. She makes beautiful beads and pushes the button to make our laser machine go.

Kellen

We can not say enough good things about Kellen. He started at SHINE a little nervous, but has come out of his shell and is now our number one fan. He loves everything we do, and even says that his favorite activity at SHINE is “all of it!”

Kyle

Kyle is our vehicle expert. Show him a car and he can tell you all about it. Kyle is curious and keeps an eye on the SHINE staff to be sure we are all doing what needs to be done. He loves our exercise program and keeping healthy.

Lilly

Lynzee

Lynzee works hard at all of her jobs at SHINE. She loves to know that she is doing her best and wants to share her accomplishments with others. She is a fierce friend and likes to make sure that we are all having a good day.

Michelle

Michelle is a gifted and hard worker. She completes every job with a smile on her face, does her best work, and is always ready to try something new. She has a physical sense of humor and loves to pull a prank. Michelle's joy is contagious and we are blessed by her daily!

Nathan

Nathan arrived at SHINE with great work experience. He is a stocker at a local store, where he enjoys being sure that inventory is lined up just right. He has brought that same attention to detail to SHINE where he watches once and then completes each task well. But Nathan isn’t all work and no play, he loves video games!

Ryan

Ryan is our jack of all trades. He will try all of our activities at SHINE, but his favorite is using the laser cutter to cut and engrave our products. Ryan loads the machine, sets up the computer, and does quality control to help make our beautiful products. Then, he still has the energy to help make exercise time fun by encouraging the other athletes to do their best.

Sam

Sam is a hard worker and loves learning new skills. He has never met a stranger and will be your best bud within a few minutes of meeting him. Sam is a great friend and is sure to include all of those around him in the various activities of the day.

Shyann

Shyann may be small in stature, but she has a larger-than-life personality. She loves to take charge, blaze her own trail, and then make sure the rest of us are keeping up. A thoughtful and caring friend, Shyann enjoys trying new things and approaches each day with confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm

Xavior

Xavior is our preacher man. You will often find him with a Bible in his hand ready to share the love of Jesus with those around him. He has a sweet spirit and loves to encourage others.

Zachariah

Zachariah came to SHINE as an established artist. He designed a t-shirt for a ministry at his church and displays his drawing skills in talent shows. He picks up on new enterprises quickly at SHINE and we are glad to have him on the team.
